Bluedot (whose name was inspired by the famous Carl Sagan quote) brings together science, music, arts, technology, culture, food and film, during a full weekend of ground breaking encounters, including music performances, DJ sets, comedy, talks, workshops and live experiments. All of this is taking place underneath the iconic Lovell Telescope, the world’s third largest steerable telescope, first used in 1957 to track the launch of Sputnik 1, and we are delighted to say that not only will 400 ESOF delegates be there, but some our most exciting speakers will be using science to provoke wonder, amazement and amusement, as ‘ESOF Presents…’ takes ESOF 2016 out on to the festival field. More information about the festival can be found here.
Coach transport from the city centre to the observatory (20 miles from the city) is available - further details will be provided once you have secured your place.
If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity and join us at bluedot on Saturday 23 July, you just need to let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are looking forward to seeing you at ESOF in July, and hope you will be able to join us to discover the bluedot.
